Patrons are welcome to bring any mobility and support aids (cane, crutch, walkers, walking frames, etc.) Our reception team will help you stow and retrieve your equipment as needed. Patrons are welcome to ask our reception team for on-site assistance and information.
Stairs
La Sala Rossa is situated on the 2nd floor. In order to access the venue, one must climb two staircases (about 30 steps in total). Unfortunately, there is no elevator access in the building.
Actions undertaken to make the venue/building universally accessible
Five years ago, the managers of La Sala Rossa took a first step to make the venue universally accessible and initiated the research process in conjunction with the owners of the building, the Spanish Federation and Association. The venue is situated in a heritage building, consequently, there are many government-imposed standards to be respected in order to proceed towards any renovation. According to an assessment made by architectural specialists, the only feasible option is to build an outside elevator structure connected to the building. This is a lengthy process where many institutional bodies are involved, and the cost of the work is high.
Free entry for persons accompanying patrons with disability/reduced mobility
Upon the presentation of an official card from this organisation https://www.vatl.org/, Phenomena Festival offers free entry for support/aid workers accompanying people with handicaps/reduced mobility.
Minors
La Sala Rossa is registered and licensed under the title of social club, as such anyone under the age of 18 is welcome inside the venue. Please note however that alcohol is served at the bar inside the venue and that minors are restricted from purchasing and/or consuming alcohol.
Accessibility for deaf individuals
There will be French-to-LSQ, English-to-ASL and LSQ-to-ASL interpretation available during the show Deaf performances CABARET de performances sourdes.
